There are 4 things that change your life daily:
The books you read
The people you meet
The choices you make
The action you take
This talk is targeted at start-up founders and business owners who are seeking to grow their business to the next level in 2018.
In this talk, you will learn:
- How to find the right mentor
Christine will share how to find the right mentor who understands your growth challenges and can steer you and your business forward with the right strategic advise and direction. Without the know how, most businesses fail during their infancy years.
These are the same techniques to find mentors who helped her to rise from humble beginnings as a secretary to serving as a corporate leader with local and internal conglomerates, including starting her own business and receiving accolades like the ASME Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000.
- Share real-life case studies of effective mentoring
How do you identify an outstanding mentor? How do you connect with them? How can you add value to them? Christine will also share real-life examples of effective business mentoring from her 25 years of experience in business, entrepreneurship and corporate leadership.
Attendess will also stand a chance to win a copy of the award-winning book Why You Should Fail, co-authored by two youths whom Christine mentored that was successfully launched on 18th August 2017, featuring 23 of Singapore's top entrepreneurs sharing their practical wisdom on how to build a business that lasts.
Through the Entre Club, we met many established and prominent business people, where we will never have had the privilege to meet and know. For example, Mr Hoon Thing Leong, who heads Kim San Leng group and Mr Andrew Tjioe, Executive Chairman of Tunglok Group and many more.
They shared many invaluable insights to the F&B trade as experienced verterans in this area that helped Coffee Hive emerge as the overall winner in the most franchisable category. Each sharing by the mentors provided gems of information that cannot be attained through books or any other means.
We are grateful to Dr Leong, Christine and the Entre team for their kindness and help in helping junior entrepreneurs like us.
- Anthony Chan, Managing Director, Coffee Hive
The Entre Club has given me the opportunity to learn first hand from real practitioners whom have many years of experience and a vast knowledge of the business world in Asia.
As a young entrepreneur, it was a humble and enriching journey to learn practical business strategies which goes beyond the books, seminars, and talks I previously attended.
I also benefited from getting in touch with different individuals from the panel of Mentors whom themselves are involve with TEC because of their passion to give back and train the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders. I too am looking to pay it forward when the opportunity arises.
